Thomas Children Home for the needy started in the year 1993 with 9 children. The strong commitment and investment by many concerned people has helped in the steady growth of the Home. The success of the home is the result of many compassionate people who helped towards its development.
Children between the ages of 3 to 6 years were admitted. This age is crucial and is conditioned by the body to develop mind, emotions, and to facilitate the creation of a strong foundation for children who would ultimately grow into mature and responsible adults for their own good and for the good of the community and the Nation.
TCHN exhibited growth beyond expectations. The home is taking care of 300 children from all over India. Our aim is to provide complete life-development through providing food, shelter, clothing, education and moral values.
The staff of TCHN are committed o the mission they have undertaken and are serving the children with utmost care, love, and affection to those who are longing for it. The staff of TCHN are trained periodically. Orientations are provided in towards capacitating them to fulfil their task. They also attend seminars, and workshops to improve their knowledge in order to help the children at home.
All these have enabled us to make the Home to grow by God’s grace and today we have 300 children living in two separate homes for both boys and girls. The rented homes are located in Nelamangala, a suburban town which is 25 km’s away from the city of Bangalore. National Highway No.4 (near Devasabdra Bus Stop).
